Green Valley is a fully independent milk company. The factory opened in June 2003 and is located on Marphona Farms, Mangatawhiri south of Auckland.
Green Valley processes both organic and non organic milk, most of their organic milk is piped direct from Marphona milking sheds to their factory which creates not only a fast process but also provides the consumer with fresh farm milk handled in a modern facility. Green Valley is registered with NZFSA.
Marphona Farms is New Zealand’s largest privately owned dairy farm. Owned and managed by Bruce Pulman, the company is recognised as one of the leading quality dairy farms in New Zealand. Marphona Farms supplies milk of the highest quality to a number of dairy companies as well as Green Valley Dairies.
Marphona Farms also holds a Category Two rating under New Zealand Occupational Safety and Health. This makes Marphona an industry leader in this area. In 1998 Marphona Farms made a commitment to environmentally sound management by converting 2000 acres to organic dairy production. The area farmed organically will increase as additional land is developed to a suitable standard.
Green Valley holds both Bio-Gro and AsureQuality Organic Certifications. Marphona Farms was the first New Zealand Dairy farm to obtain a Registered Product Safety Programme (PSP) with New Zealand Food and Safety Authority.
